What is the parent rating for travelers? ›

Although it is violent at times, there was nothing that made me want to look away. As said before, Travelers only has an "MA" rating because of F-bombs and gun violence. Outside of that, I think any relatively mature teen will have a great time with this sci-fi, action show.

I'd definitely recommend this book as a solid finish to a great series for older teens. Unfortunately, because of this last book's maturity, I'm hesitant to recommend the series as a whole to younger teens (13, 14) even though I think the first two books are unique and well-written fantasies.

The Cruel Prince starts out with some extreme distain between Jude and Cardan, but after a shared goal forces them to spend a lot more time together… tensions of a different variety start to form between the two. Aside from some dangerously passionate kissing, I'll say the first book might be a little tame.

but if you want a age rating id say a mature 12 year old could handle it but 14+ sound fine.

F*** is only appropriate for adults to use in informal settings. Whenever professionalism is expected, steer clear of the f-word (and other swear words). If you're in a casual setting, like a bar or locker room, or with someone else who regularly uses the f-word, there's a better chance that it's okay.

One alternative is to employ cursing-soundalike words. In place of the f-bomb you might use freaking or, if you were a Battlestar Galactica fan, fracking. Other G-rated epithets include kiss my grits, son-of-a-mother, Judas Priest, what the Sam Hill, and shut the front door.

Parents need to know that the limited series Fellow Travelers, a TV adaptation of the 2017 novel of the same name, contains mature themes and sexual content, including full nudity, and simulated sex scenes, some of which are more rough than romantic.
