How do I contact tasty trades? ›

What happened to the financial network previously known as tastytrade? The financial network is still our separate but affiliated company. It was rebranded to tastylive in December 2022. You can now visit the network's website at tastylive.com.

The broker formerly known as tastyworks officially changed its name to tastytrade in 2023, but that change only reaffirmed the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

The Bottom Line: Is tastyworks legit? Yes. (Note: The company is now known as tastytrade.) Founded by former option floor traders in Chicago, tastytrade (formerly known as tastyworks) seeks to serve retail options traders by giving them an excellent platform with tons of educational resources.

Commission. All stock options trades incur a clearing fee of $0.10 per contract + regulatory fee. Equity option commission capped at $10 per leg. All stock trades incur a clearing fee of $0.0008 per share + regulatory fee.

That said, tastytrade offers one of the best programs for fractional shares, popular with new and buy-and-hold investors. The pricing for options and cryptocurrency are quite favorable at tastytrade, though Ally Invest and E-Trade both offer attractive commissions without having to trade huge quantities, too.

The difference in the overall score of the two brokers is not substantial and in terms of fees as well as depositing / withdrawing money, both tastytrade and thinkorswim (TD Ameritrade) score low. However, it's much easier to open an account with tastytrade.

What are the most striking differences? tastytrade scores high when it comes to customer service, research tools and education materials. The trading platform though, especially the desktop version, is significantly better at Webull.

The SIPC protects you from the loss of cash or securities in case the broker goes bust. The limit of SIPC protection is $500,000, which includes a $250,000 limit for cash. A non-US citizen who signed up with tastytrade is treated the same way as a US resident if something goes wrong.
