Rare JD 4030s (2024)

Question.....when did Deere quit building mounted corn pickers? I assume in the early/mid 1970s like every body else. I was just wondering did Deere ever have any provision to mount a Generation II tractor to a mounted corn picker? I was wondering how a mounted corn picker would work with a Sound-Gard body cab on a tractor....you couldn't hardly enter/exit the cab in a normal manner with the mounted corn picker installed, could you?

The gas-powered standard4030 could probably be made to work with a mounted corn picker with a narrow-front and no cab...it would be interesting to see.

I remember at RPRU2017 in Des Moines somebody had a beautifully restored IH 766 gas tractor with a narrow front. Sure looked like a tractor a dealer would order for a corn picker. It would be neat to see it parked next to a JD 4030 equipped the same way.
