Given some of the things people do, I think that asking for a car service is hardly extreme. Also the post was meant to be a lighthearted reflection on the general mentality around here.

... and people want miles credited to a global alliance, too. Humanities and civilizations coming to an end. In all honesty, I hope WY stays away from any global alliance so business class seats are reserved for paying customers and loyal FFs using their own miles to upgrade.

and this is because you are a loyal WY frequent flyer and hate to see lots of freeloaders occupy business class seats that could be yours to upgrade from an economy booking?

As for availabilities, not at all. WY is a boutique airlines and do you realize their Business Class seats on and services on A330s are equivalent (if not better) to First Class in other carriers? It primarily caters to people visiting Oman, rather than carrying transit passengers in bulk.

You cant be serious with this. Just check their departure and arrival times and you will see, these flight are only valuable for transit pax. Who want to arrive around midnight in Oman and stay there? Who want to depart around 1 or 2am if its not a transit pax?

Actually WY's FRA-MCT flight (WY114) does have both First and Business class on A333 - based on WY's website description, its business class product is very similar to SQ's long haul business class product, but definitely not up to the level SQ's F product. Also I checked EF and found WY114 on my travel date only has two business class seats left.

I checked WY114 on several, random, dates, even well out into next year, and the business cabin seems to be almost full on EVERY date - usually in the exact same configuration.

I think there is something else going on here - they appear to have blocked most of the seats, so I don't think that the EF seat maps are an accurate indicator of the number of business-class seats sold - particularly if you look at the number of J/C/D/.I tickets still available for sale
