BROCKTON — As the weather heats up, there might just be no better way to spend your summer than hitting the beach and enjoying a pleasant outdoor lunch.

But on this week's installment of Brockton Eats with Alisha, we're ditching the sand and heading straight to lunch, but outside in a patio setting. We will travel around the area to find the best spot to grab something delicious and sip a refreshing hand-made co*cktail.

These weekly lists of tidbits and food finds are not restaurant reviews but go beyond a bare-bones round-up. Staff writer Alisha Saint-Ciel gives tips and takes to help Brockton-area foodies find those mouth-watering hidden gems, old favorites, and exciting new offerings.

Giana — 3 Roosevelt Circle, South Easton

Dive into the magical creations of Giana with a mixed Italian flare and kisses of other cultures, including Asian, all over their menu. Patrons can enjoy new weekly specials and crafted co*cktails that won't disappoint.

Giana recently opened their outdoor dining patio, which gives people the feeling of being outside without actually being outdoors in the elements. The patio is a built-in structure that will protect you from the sun.

The modern fine dining restaurant has many unique menu options, from sushi and wagyu burgers to truffled pasta and lemon rosemary chicken wings. Some popular menu items include bang bang rock shrimp, burrata, kimchi scallops, Margherita pizza, and salad. The Italian section can appease any pasta craving from chicken parmesan, pink peppercorn chicken picatta, Bolognese and bucatini truffled pasta.

Farm-to-table breakfast and dinner have arrived in Easton with beautiful outdoor seating right along the busy Main Street. You can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the town as you sip on gourmet drinks, including the warm French toast martini, which is one of my favorites.

The restaurant prides itself on serving fresh and organic food that will change how you feel about dining out. It's one of those restaurants that spent time developing an almost "perfect menu." They have everything from smashed farm burgers and honey hot chicken sandwiches to sweet potato toast, greens drizzled in shallot vinaigrette and classic breakfast.

Yaz's table — 1209 Bedford St., Abington

A taste of Egypt is closer than you expect! Yaz's Table is a brunch spot that takes your favorite American dish and "Yaz's it up" with a sprinkle of Egyptian flavor. The restaurant owner takes what some may call a bland, regular American breakfast and changes the identity to her distinctive dish.

For example, every breakfast restaurant sells steak and eggs, but Yaz's Table's steak and eggs differ from what you've tasted. The Kofta steak is marinated for 24 hours in a blend of six Egyptian spice recipes, passed down from generations of women in her family living in Egypt. The overnight marination allows the deep flavors of the onion juice, coriander, cumin and other spices to soak into every crevice of the protein.

Yaz's Table has unique outdoor seating that protects you from the sun but lets you enjoy it simultaneously. The restaurant's co*cktail menu changes every few months. If you're looking for a simple breakfast, I recommend trying the "Fresh Farm," which is two eggs, toast, bacon, red bliss and sweet potato home friesand candied siracha maple bacon. If you're more adventurous, an excellent option is the classic "chicken and waffle," a sweet and savory dish.

Patio McGuiggan's — 552 Washington St., Whitman

When I'm inside Patio McGuiggan's, I feel like I'm in a restaurant in Los Angeles. I know, right, sounds crazy, but it's true. The large windows allow you to feel the best of both worlds, protected by the sun and enjoying the summer breeze. The patio will enable you to feel like you're in a different world, but you're in Whitman. The menu is even better than the scenery with classic bar bites and handheld sandwiches there's a little something for everyone. You can indulge in honey hot wings, fried cauliflower, homemade meatballs, short rib tacos and margarita flatbread. Let's not forget the bubbling co*cktail menu, and I recommend trying an espresso martini for a delicious pick me up or the pistachio martini.
