WESH 2’S MICHELLE MEREDITH IS BACK AT IT THIS TIME AT THE SPCA OF BREVARD MICHELLE YOU’RE YOU’RE KIND OF IN A TRANCE THERE WITH THAT CAT. I KNOW THIS LITTLE CAT LOOKS SO PEACEFUL, BUT IT’S BEDLAM BEHIND THE SCENES. IT’S GOT LIKE CATS GOING WILD. WE WERE GOING TO HAVE A LITTLE CAT NAMED HARRY, BUT HE RAN AWAY. HE RAN UNDER A CAGE. SO WE HAVE SHELBY HERE. AND WHO WAS THIS? WE GOT JERRY. YES. JERRY IS A SWEET LITTLE KITTEN. HE’S THREE MONTHS OLD, AND HE ACTUALLY CAME TO US FROM PALM BEACH COUNTY. THEY HAVE A LOT OF CATS DOWN THERE, AND THEY CALLED US AND SAID, HEY, YOU GOT ROOM FOR SOME CATS? AND WE SAID, ABSOLUTELY, WE DO. SO NOW HE IS READY TO FIND A LOVING HOME WHERE HE CAN CLIMB AND PLAY AND BE A LITTLE SILLY LITTLE GUY. OH, WELL, I’M GOING TO LET THEM DOWN SO HE CAN BE SILLY. AND NOW LET’S SEE IF WE CAN GET SPOOKY TO DO THIS. CAT TRICK. THIS IS SPOOKY BELOW US HERE. OKAY, JERRY. YOU’RE GONE. OH, VERY GOOD. HERE WE GO. ALL RIGHT, NOW LET’S SEE. THIS IS SPOOKY. AND WE GOT SOME SOME KITTY TREATS. OH, SPOOKY. YOU WERE JUST SO HAPPY TO DO THAT EARLIER. ALL RIGHT. SPOOKY, WE’RE GIVING YOU THE HOOK NEXT. WHAT’S. OH, WAIT. OH, AT LEAST EATING. AND THAT’S THE THING ABOUT CATS, YOU KNOW, THEY THEY GIVE YOU CAT MINUTES. SOMETIMES IT CAN BE 30 MINUTES, SOMETIMES IT’S THREE MINUTES. AND I THINK SOMETIMES IT’S 30S. 30S. OKAY. WHO’S THIS? SO THIS IS BELLATRIX. SHE’S TWO YEARS OLD. SHE’S ACTUALLY A MOM CAT. SHE HAD SOME KITTENS AND SHE IS SUPER SWEET. STAFF SAYS SHE’S GREAT AT CUDDLING. SHE IS JUST LOVES TO NAP AND SHE’S EVEN CRATE TRAINED. SHE’LL GO INTO A CAT CARRIER WITH NO PROBLEM. OH MY DARLING. SO WHAT’S GOING ON WITH THESE BABIES? YOU KNOW THEY’RE NOT COOPERATING ALL RIGHT, FOLKS, ALL RIGHT, WE’RE MOVING ON TO THE BEST PART. WE’VE GOT THE LAUNDRY BASKET FULL OF KITTENS, AND WE GOT TO GET THEM IN HERE FAST BECAUSE THEY ARE A LITTLE ESCAPE ARTIST. LOOK HOW SWEET THESE ARE. HOW OLD ARE THESE LITTLE BABIES? THESE ARE RIGHT. ABOUT THREE MONTHS, AND THEY’RE BEING REAL SILLY. I GUESS EVERYONE’S JUST LIKE, HEY, IT’S IT’S CRAZY. OUR. LET’S GO. IT’S THE WITCHING HOUR FOR THESE LITTLE DARLINGS. SO WHEN YOU FOSTER SO IMPORTANT, YOU ARE HELPING TO BOTTLE FEED AND RAISE THESE LITTLE DARLINGS THAT CAME TO YOU SO YOUNG, RIGHT? YES. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE KITTEN SEASON IS AROUND. WE GOT LOTS OF KITTENS. SO WHETHER YOU’RE HELPING WITH DOGS, CATS, WE DEFINITELY NEED HELP. WHEN. ESPECIALLY WHEN EVERYBODY IS JUST SO FULL. OH MY GOODNESS. ALL RIGHT FOLKS I HOPE YOU GOT YOUR FILL OF KITTY CUTENESS BECAUSE NEXT TOMORROW WE’RE GOING TO BE IN LAKE COUNTY AND WE’RE GOING TO HAVE MORE CATS AND ANIMALS AND DOGS FOR YOU. Right now, in Central Florida, the need for loving pet homes and fosters is reaching an all-time high. For 2024, WESH 2 is featuring adoptable pets at 12 Central Florida animal shelters and rescues.
