Getting started with the GIO app has never been easier, allowing you to make claims and manage your policy wherever you are.
To begin, download the GIO app from the App Store or Google Play, once downloaded open the app.
If you haven't used the GIO app or GIO online services before, click Get Started to set up an account.
To set up your account you'll be asked to accept our terms and conditions, to read them click Terms and Conditions.
When you're ready press Accept to continue.
There are three steps to set up your account.
Step one: fill out the new user form.
Step two: enter your best email address
and the mobile number. Just ensure you use the same mobile number you have registered on your policy.
Step three: create a password.
When creating your password remember to follow the requirements.
When you've chosen your password press Done, then Sign Up.
It's best to store that password somewhere secure so you don't forget it.
But if you do, don't worry, you can always reset it.
You will receive a verification email within a few minutes of signing up.
If you haven't received it, check your junk and spam folders.
Once you have received it, open the email and click link to verify.
Back in the app, it's time to link your insurance policy.
Once you have logged in for the first time, you'll be asked if you
want to link your policy, press Link Policies Now.
Fill in your policy number and date of birth.
Your policy number can be found on your certificate of insurance that you received when you first purchased your policy.
Once you've pressed Next, we'll send a verification code to your mobile number, once verified your policy will be linked.
You can now manage your details from the GIO app.
You can also link other policies, or get a quote for a new policy from the home screen.
