10 Craft Ideas To Do With Moose Coloring Pages

Moose coloring pages can be silly, serious, or artistic, but they’re always fun to color.

If your youngster needs some new ways to use up the finished coloring pages, try these affordable, easy crafts.

1. “M” is for Moose

Start this simple craft by giving each youngster a piece of blue posterboard and four popsicle sticks.

The sticks should be painted or colored brown, fashioned into an “M,” and glued to the posterboard.

At the bottom of the “V”, the youngster can add the moose’s face after it’s cut from the page.

Use pipe cleaners to embellish his antlers, add big wiggle eyes and a pom-pom nose, and write “M” is for “Moose” across the bottom for an adorable poster.

2. Moose Head Wall Mount

This super fun craft begins with trimming the edges of an ordinary paper plate to carve out a moose face. Do this by loosely following an hourglass shape.

Have the youngsters trace and cut out their handprints from construction paper to use as moose antlers. Staple these to the top of the cutout.

Then, cut the moose’s face from the coloring page and glue it to the plate cutout and add big wiggle eyes.

Make an emblem-shaped background for the “Moosehead” from cardstock and hang it on the wall!

3. Make a Hilarious Puppet

Begin this fun craft by having the child make pipe cleaner antlers, which can be glued to either side of the bottom of a paper bag. This will be the Moose’s face.

Cutouts from the moose coloring page can then be used to complete the puppet.

The face should be glued just under the handprint antlers, and the body to the longer part of the bag. For extra fun, add wiggle eyes, and a big black pom-pom for a nose!

4. Cute Moose Bookmarks

To make these adorable bookmarks, reinforce the coloring pages with thin cardboard before cutting the characters out.

Each moose should be cut to allow the front legs to bend slightly away from the body.

The child can add wiggle eyes, black felt for a nose, and black pom-poms as the front hoofs.

The Moose can be placed in the book, with his front legs dangling over the top of the page for a fun way to mark the place.

5. Moose King

Start this fun craft by having the youngsters trace and cut out big, fancy moose antlers. These should be added to a strip of cardboard stapled into a circle.

The moose cutout from the finished coloring page can then be glued to the cardboard strip’s center, surrounded by the makeshift antlers.

Add giant wiggle eyes to the face, and the youngster can wear this moose crown anywhere!

6. Make a Decorative Lamp

This craft is surprisingly easy, and is perfect for children who like to color detailed pages.

If you have an old lamp you don’t mind using for a craft, let the youngster decorate its base with cutouts from the finished coloring pages.

Then, the child can trace and cut out a moose “silhouette” from black construction paper, and glue this to the shade, using craft putty.

This makes an interesting combination, and this one-of-a-kind lamp can be used wherever you like.

7. Make a Funny Moose Spoon Holder

This easy craft begins with a plain spoon rest from a discount store. The face and antlers of the moose should be cut from the coloring page separately.

Glue the face to the surface of the spoon rest, and seal the artwork with acrylic spray.

The antlers should be reinforced with pipe cleaners, and anchored around the bottom of the spoon rest to curl up around the surface. The effect will be hilarious.

8. Design a Cute Christmas Moose

To make this delightful Christmas decoration, use ordinary piece cardboard and cut out a shape similar to that of a piece of bread.

Glue the moose face from the coloring page to the cutout, making sure the antlers stick up past the top edge of the cardboard.

Next, reinforce the antlers by attaching pipe cleaners to their back sides, using krazy glue.

Then, wind pieces of tinsel around the antlers, and use a jingle bell as the moose’s nose. Add a green tissue paper “scarf” to his neck for an adorable Christmas moose!

9. Make a Decorative Moose Wreath

This cute wreath is easily made by any age child. Begin by cutting a large circle from cardboard and hollowing out the center.

Next, have the youngster make two ordinary paper chains from brown and yellow construction paper.

These should be glued onto the cardboard circle, side-by-side as a base for the wreath. A section of bare cardboard should be left at both the top and bottom of the wreath.

When the moose is cut from the finished page, glue the face to the cardboard section at the bottom, and the antlers to the top for a unique moose wreath to display anywhere.

10.Create Unforgettable Wall Art

To make this terrific, framable artwork, use a coloring page featuring a big moose face that’s not excessively intricate.

When finished, have the youngster decorate it with things like candy, pieces of dry pasta, or even dried fruit.

One item can be used for the antlers, another for the nose, and something different again for the ears. The key is to be as creative as possible.

The finished result will be a unique piece of framable art.
